To disable the feature to Open tab in Groups, please do the following:
- Go to chrome://flags and find "Tab Groups Continuation" in the list
- Set to Disabled
Once disabled, it will no longer create tabs in groups.
Important
It will still say to "Open tab in new group", however, when you long press on a link, it won't actually create a new group.
